One positive note- the Cornfield said D-County is taking some of the heat off Wise Co. No one in Wise has staged a protest march yet- I can't wait to see what happens next. I bet with the talk of mining the school site in D1ckenson County ,some of the enviro-nuts are going to help.

Who knows, maybe they'll get more than the less than 20 they got last time.

Yep a protest march of all of 20 folks LOL

The Mineing issue is a joke ANR currently owns mineral rights to the land Mineing is no more or less likly after consoladation than it is before (probably less likly in that ANR would be responsable for damage done to the surface structers)

It just takes one nut to excite some of the folks around here. D1ckenson Co doesn't look to be any better off than Wise Co. Perhaps D1ckenson Co should just wait for Wise to play out and skip some of the steps.

Lord That Anti group looks at Wise Co as the model for how things should work (Keep doing studies and never act on anything till they end up closing a couple of schools)

Right now there flavor of the month is that ANR is behind the whole consolidation deal in an attempt to Mine the Rose Ridge location (Which ironically enough they could have already mined if they wanted to)

But you are right a few Nuts tend to spread the crazy around LOL
